Children's Mental Health

Provides outpatient counseling, assessment and evaluation, case management, medication, social rehabilitation and urgent care/crisis services for youth with emotional and mental health needs. Special programs are available for youth in the juvenile justice system, foster care system, and children up to age 21 who meet criteria for specialty mental health.

Hours: Main clinic, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Eligibility: Youth who need mental health treatment or crisis services related to mental health conditions that impair functioning.
Access to Services: Call (530) 229-8041 or toll free 1-888-385-5201, walk in Monday - Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. For emergency services after business hours, holidays and weekends, go to the emergency room for crisis assessment.
Fee: Medi-Cal if Shasta County Mental Health is in the insurance plan's provider panel and mental health is a covered service for those who meet "medical necessity" criteria.
Note: Nonprofit organizations provide regional services for Medi-Cal beneficiaries. Services can be requested through Children's Access Services at (530) 229-8041.
