We Do Recover! Come get connected to a community that is fun and believes recovery is possible.

Join us from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 21, at the Lake Redding Park Pavilion and Gazebo for FREE food, carnival snacks and family fun. Listen to live music and inspiring testimonials from people in recovery. And talk with substance use treatment providers at the event's resource fair.

This annual September event is organized in observance of Recovery Happens Month, a time when we celebrate the gains made by people in recovery, educate the community about treatment and unite to break down stigma surrounding substance use challenges.

Recovery Happens is made possible by a collaboration between local nonprofit treatment providers, sober living homes, health clinics and government agencies. The committee works throughout the year to plan the month’s festivities.

Need transportation? RABA rides are free until September 30. Routes 11 and 14 have stops on Benton Dr. that are around the corner from the Lake Redding Park Pavilion and Gazebo.

For questions regarding the event, reach out to Christopher Diamond at cdiamond@shastacounty.gov or (530) 229-8484.

*Recovery Happens is a smoke-free event.
