What is the Mobile Crisis Outreach Team?

The Hill Country Mobile Crisis Outreach Team (MCOT) provides on-the-spot urgent mental health services to people suffering severe mental illness. MCOT will respond to crisis situations in many locations within the Shasta County area, from people's homes to the streets.

A clinician and case manager team work closely with law enforcement, emergency rooms, as well as businesses and agencies to provide direct, face-to-face support for those in crisis.

The Mobile Crisis Outreach Team is a program of Hill Country Health and Wellness. The funding for the Mobile Crisis Outreach Team is provided by Shasta County Health and Human Services.

Our goals are to:

  • Improve the experience of someone who is going through a crisis.
  • Provide a evaluation of client needs.

The team can help with:

  • Extreme anxiety or panic.
  • Severe depression or hopelessness.

The team's services are for people ages 18-65.
