Covid-19 continues to claim lives in Shasta County 07/07/2022

Four Shasta County Covid deaths have been reported in the past week. There are 18 Covid patients in the hospital, 3 in the ICU. The case rate continues to climb, now at 183 per 100,000, and the test positivity rate is “substantial”. The new BA.5 sub-variant has not yet been detected in Shasta County.
