Air Pollution Control Board

The Shasta County Air Pollution District, now known as the Air Quality Management District, was formed on September 28, 1970, by Resolution No. 70-144.  It is governed by a five-member Air Pollution Control Board, which is responsible for policy and fiscal management. 

Three members of the the Shasta County Board of Supervisors and two members of the Redding City Council sit as the Shasta County Air Pollution Control Board, which meets once monthly.  Members are assigned on an annual basis by the County and City.
