Employee of the Month - Oct '24

Shasta County is proud to recognize Annie Ernst, Agency Staff Services Analyst I from the Department of Resource Management, as the Employee of the Month for October 2024. Annie began her career with the County in January 2020 as a Typist Clerk III, where she excelled in assisting customers with building permits and navigating complex regulations. Her calm demeanor and professionalism helped her diffuse tense situations and direct customers to the appropriate staff.

In November 2021, Annie was promoted to her current role in Code Enforcement. Despite the shift in responsibilities, she continued to support her former clerical team, providing valuable training and guidance to new staff. Annie is known for her compassion, patience, and dedication to delivering exceptional customer service, particularly in handling sensitive cases involving fines, penalties, and nuisance abatement.

Annie’s trustworthiness, integrity, and commitment to improving processes have made her a standout employee. She consistently goes above and beyond to assist both her colleagues and the public, serving as a model of excellence in the department.
