Employee of the Month

Assessor-Record Real Property Appraiser II, Kelly Gannon has been named Shasta County December Employee of the Month.

Kelly started in the Assessor’s office in January of 2016 and quickly became a valuable member of the Personal Property team.  She learned each function quickly, asked good questions giving thought to the processes and procedures, not only to learn how to perform functions, but in the effort to truly understand the role of the department and how each piece of the department fits together.  Her customer service skills are excellent, whether taking calls, providing counter service, interacting between various office areas or other departments.

By September of 2017 she was promoted to a Real Property Appraiser position where she not only completes her assigned work but takes on additional special areas of appraisal and has expanded her range of knowledge in Assessments and property tax rapidly.  Kelly has a calm demeaner with taxpayers and can explain the nuances of property tax laws in a way which allows them to understand how the valuation process works. Her positive attitude increases team morale and contributes to creating a positive work environment.  Congratulations Kelly, keep up the amazing work!
