Last September, the City of Redding assumed the role of the lead agency for the NorCal Continuum of Care (CoC). On January 26, 2024, Shasta County successfully transferred all required Homeless Housing, Assistance, and Prevention (HHAP) funds to the City of Redding.

Over the past seven years, Shasta County has been privileged to serve our community by administering millions of dollars in essential funding to address homelessness in our region. We are grateful for the opportunity to have played a crucial role in the coordination and distribution of funds, ensuring that essential resources reached those in need.

In alignment with the recent changes in leadership within the NorCal CoC, all providers will submit reimbursement requests for HHAP 1, HHAP 2, and HHAP 3 directly to the City of Redding. The City of Redding has taken on this task and will be the point of contact for any financial transactions related to HHAP funding.

We express our sincere gratitude for the collaboration and support we have received throughout our tenure as the administrator of HHAP funds for our region. We are confident that the City of Redding, as the new lead agency, will provide the necessary continuity and support to ensure the effective utilization of funds for the betterment of our community.

Looking ahead, Shasta County remains committed to actively participating in the NorCal CoC as a valued member. We are eager to continue our collaborative efforts to address homelessness and contribute to the overall well-being of our community.
