The County of Shasta is pleased to announce the release of a Request for Proposals (RFP) for tourism marketing services aimed at promoting Shasta County as a premier destination for adventure and relaxation. Through this RFP, Shasta County seeks to partner with an innovative and experienced consultant to develop a comprehensive and sustainable tourism marketing and branding strategy that highlights the region's unique offerings.

This initiative is part of Shasta County's ongoing efforts to enhance its appeal as a year-round destination, driving sustainable growth and enhancing the quality of life for residents and visitors alike.

The selected consultant will be tasked with developing a strategic marketing plan that encompasses:

• Strategic Visioning: Conceptualizing an identity brand and educational strategy to market Shasta County as a destination.
• Branding and Design: Creating a style guide and marketing materials that resonate with a diverse audience.
• Marketing Strategy: Employing traditional and digital media, including social media trends, to reach potential tourists.
• Digital Presence: Designing a user-friendly website or mobile application for trip planning and mapping.
• Destination Marketing: Highlighting accommodations, attractions, and local businesses.
• Measurement and Evaluation: Establishing metrics for success and providing post-advertising analysis.

Shasta County is considering annual allocations of $250,000, $500,000, or $1,000,000 to support the tourism marketing initiative, funded through the Shasta County Transient Occupancy Tax. The RFP invites creativity in proposing solutions that fulfill the County's needs across various funding levels.
