Employee of the Year '23 - Loren Brown

Loren Brown, Custodian II, has been named the 2023 Shasta County Employee of the Year!

Loren has excelled at his current position and duty location. He is the sole Custodian that services the entire 42,000 sq. ft. of the 2600 Park Marina location. This location has seen exponential growth in the number of occupants over the last couple of years after HHSA began co-occupying the space with Child Support Services. He has been able to continue to provide a top-notch level of service even with the increased number of occupants and times his services for the least amount of disruption to the occupants.

Loren is extremely conscientious and orderly in how he maintains his work areas and supplies. He is the kind of employee who takes notes at the regular safety meetings and offers constructive insights on how to work in a safer manner. Loren is dependable and puts his all into each task that he performs, making sure that his work is done correctly and promptly.

Loren has continued in his excellent service to 2600 Park Marina and the County as a whole since his designation of Employee of the Month in April of 2023. He strives to be a positive influence in the workplace and is adored by all who meet him. He is friendly and greets everyone with a smile. Employees who know Loren have said that he truly cares about others and is quick to share a joke and brighten your day.

Loren is a true asset to the Facilities Management team and embodies all of the positive attributes and skill one would hope for in an employee. Congratulations Loren! Thank you for all of your hard work, excellence,  and positivity. Shasta County is blessed to have you.
