Employee of the Month - November '23
Staci Adams has been named Shasta County’s Employee of the Month for November 2023! Staci is a Staff Services Manager in the Department of Child Support Services.
Staci is a mindful, attentive, and helpful employee. She works with many other departments on a regular basis to ensure the needs of her department are met. Staci works closely with building management regarding the building and department’s needs. Staci is excellent at communicating the urgency of any issues that may arise, which results in them being handled quickly. One of her coworkers shared, “In my personal interactions with Staci as a subordinate on her team, I can tell you I am personally grateful for her patience, explanation of processes, needs of the department, and overall comradery with a genuine smile. I can tell she wants not only herself to succeed, but her team and the individuals within.”
In team meetings, Staci does an excellent job of providing critical updates, communicating with employees, investigating new ways to increase performance and efficiencies, and providing input from past experiences, as well as new ideas to enhance programs. Staci recently recognized the talents of her accounting staff and provided them with opportunities to train case managers in accounting duties. Employees appreciated the facilitation of training from Staci to better understand accounting processes. Staci’s ability to look beyond her own team and include other employees is an appreciated skill.
Staci has a fantastic ability to quickly jump into new processes and adapt to new state requirements and requests for audits and fiscal actions. Staci digs in and completes last-minute state requests by the deadline on a regular basis. The trait that Staci role models the most is her compassion for employees, as well as the families that the Department of Child Support Services serve. She truly cares about all employees and keeps them involved in her decision-making process. She ensures that employees have the tools they need to complete their duties and fosters a caring work environment. Staci has earned the trust of all employees that surround and work with her with one coworker stating, “She values my opinion and thinks of me as a coworker, while still maintaining her position as my supervisor. Staci advocates for her team and will go the extra mile.”
For the reasons stated above, the Employee Recognition Committee recommends Staci Adams, Staff Services Manager, in the Department of Child Support Services be selected as the Employee of the Month for November 2023.
