Employee of the Month - June '23

Patrick Knight, Associate IT Analyst has been named the Shasta County Employee of the Month for June 2023.

Mr. Knight provides high-level customer service day in and day out. He recently jumped in to provide technical assistance when there were issues with the Board Chambers Audio Visual system, despite it not being his direct area of responsibility. In all his assigned projects, he provides excellent communication and is incredibly responsive to requests in addition to giving quality attention to details.

Patrick is thoughtful and courteous as well as thorough. He explains things in detail and, if he is unsure of something, he takes the time to find out and get back to his customers quickly with a response. He fosters a culture of transparency and open communication, cultivating trust and collaboration among his fellow County employees. His unwavering dedication to ethical conduct strengthens the reputation of Shasta County.

He has assisted the County Administration Office with several high-level projects. On multiple occasions he offered creative solutions to help solve problems and has gone the extra mile to provide research on the feasibility of each solution offered. He was recently able to keep a contract moving forward in a timely manner after it was misnavigated. He is also very quick to respond, in detail, to anything regarding quotes for equipment or basic trouble shooting.

Mr. Knight is a team player and goes above and beyond expectations by voluntarily taking minutes of all IT Analyst (ITA) meetings for staff reference. In addition, he has revised and improved the ITA workbook for managing equipment refreshes that each ITA uses for their assigned departments. He consistently demonstrates that he cares about his job and the success of the departments that he is assigned to. Mr. Knight is a trusted asset to the IT Department.
