Employee of the Month - July 2024
Shasta County is delighted to announce that Tim Lewis, IT Application Support Analyst I, has been named Employee of the Month for July 2024!
Tim has been an essential part of the Information Technology Department since August 2021, showcasing exceptional flexibility and dedication. His role has expanded beyond IT to include significant contributions to other departments, such as the Public Defender’s Office. Known for his meticulous, organized, and knowledgeable approach, Tim consistently analyzes systems, provides options, and delivers robust solutions.
A remarkable communicator, Tim excels in both written and verbal interactions, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues. He takes initiative, identifying and addressing IT program complications, and frequently proposes innovative ideas to streamline workflows. His professionalism shines through his interactions with external vendors, reflecting positively on both his department and the County.
Tim’s dedication to the Public Defender’s Office during their transition to a new Case Management System is particularly noteworthy. He mastered the new program, learned computer coding to enhance report writing, and even developed a mini–Case Management System from scratch to address critical needs. His ongoing support and willingness to assist, whether via Teams, email, phone, or in person, have been invaluable.
Through his determination, positivity, and creative problem-solving skills, Tim has demonstrated a genuine commitment to his work and colleagues. As one coworker aptly stated, “If all employees of this County were of the caliber that Tim is, we would have the best County in the state.”
