Constitution Week in Shasta County

September 17, 2023, marks the 236th anniversary of the signing of the Constitution of the United States of America at the Constitutional Convention, providing a historic opportunity for all Americans to remember the achievements of our Founding Fathers.

The Board of Supervisors have proclaimed the week of September 17-23, 2023, as Constitution Week in Shasta County and encourage all citizens to recognize and appreciate the importance of this enduring document to our nation.  Reaffirming our commitment to the rights and responsibilities of citizenship in this great nation.

The proclamation was presented to Kathryn Tully, Regent for the Major Pierson B. Reading Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution. the Daughters of the American Revolution are a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history, and securing America's future through better education for children.
