Shasta County Teen Centers:

The Redding Teen Center is a program of  Pathways to Hope for Children (Child Abuse Prevention Coordinating Council). Teenagers between 13 and 17 are welcome, and there is no shortage of amenities to keep them engaged:

  • Art studio
  • Gaming room

The Anderson Teen Center is a program of Pathways to Hope for Children (Child Abuse Prevention Coordinating Council), and provides many educational and fun activities for teens. Activities include:

Directing Change Student Film Content

Directing Change Program & Film Contest

The Directing Change Program & Film Contest is an evaluated youth engagement program that challenges students and young people throughout California to learn about the topics of suicide prevention and mental health by creating short films that are used to support awareness, education and advocacy efforts on these topics.

Directing Change is supported by the California Department of Education and offers trainings and technical assistance to districts and schools to meet the requirements of AB 2246.

Open to students in grades 7-12th and young adults through age 25 in partnership with a club, program, organization, college or other agency, Directing Change is free to participate and offers cash prizes to contest winners.
