This week, we sit down for a discussion with three members of our Jail Command Staff to learn about what qualities are desirable in a candidate for a Correctional Deputy. As you will hear, many types of people from all walks of life can hand a great career in corrections!

Once the new courthouse is open, court Departments 1 and 2 (which are connected to the jail) will be freed up to use in different ways. Shasta County will soon have a new courthouse. With that new location, a different way to transport inmates from the Shasta County Jail to court appearances will become necessary.
